My name is Seth Kelly and I have been practicing my craft since the age of 10 when I first showed an interest by drawing on Sunday bulletins. I have always been interested in portraying life in the most realistic way possible, and I found that I was able to do this by drawing portraits of people. The human face is so unique, so beautiful and so telling of the many stages of life each has been through and I hope to bring all these elements out in each portrait I take on. I do all my drawings on 80lb paper and I use Derwent soft graphite pencils ranging from HB to 8B hardness. I require a high quality photo to work from and prefer to recieve them by email (see contact info below). I typically ask for a 2 week grace period depending on the number of projects I am working on. Please scroll to the bottom of this page for all pricing and contact information. Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope you enjoy what you see, and come back soon..... Next time as a returning customer!!

This has turned out to be one of my most favorite drawings ever. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!!

I did this drawing yesterday and thought it was a neat idea. I really like the concept, and like how it is so different from all my other drawings. I plan to start adding a wide variety of themes to my portfolio over the next year so be on the look out for them.

Briley and KK

Here is a drawing I finished over the weekend. I did this one for a friend, who is also a very talented photographer (www.snappedwithlove.com). These are her two girls, and as you can tell they are very precious. I really like the way this one turned out!!!

"Emma"
This is a drawing I did a few months back for a good friend. She asked me to do this as a surprise for one of her friends and I actually had a lot of fun doing this type of drawing. It was more challenging than some of my full size 8x10 portraits. Great Idea for newborns!!!

Nick and Katy

This is my latest drawing. I did this as an anniversary gift (from the Husband to the Wife) and is my first attempt to add color to a penciled drawing. I have to admit I was a little nervous doing this considering I could have ruined the entire portrait, and would have had to start all over. Fortunately, I think it worked out just fine. Let me know what you think.

I found an old sketch pad of mine at my Aunt's house tonight and while flipping through it I came across this drawing I did shortly after high school. This is of my niece Hannah, and to be honest I had forgotten I had even drawn this. I touched it up a little so I could add it to my portfolio.....so I hope you like this forgotten treasure as much as me!!
